The house

A quiet oasis, a family-run guesthouse

Atitur Hospedaje y Turismo is a family-run guesthouse in the ayllu of Solor. The center of San Pedro is a 20 to 25 minute walk — about one and a half to two kilometers — through a quiet stretch of green and desert trees.

The guesthouse has worked in Atacama tourism since 2015, with a SERNATUR-registered general tour guide, and welcomes guests in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. If you want to get out and see the desert, they will help you plan the day. Most tours pick you up at the lodging.

There are two cabins at Cerro Quimal 104. Casa Atitur, a separate house for up to three guests, is about 200 meters away at Laguna Chaxa 160. That is three places to stay in all.

A short walk from town

We are at Cerro Quimal 104, in the ayllu of Solor, San Pedro de Atacama. It is a quiet oasis area, with green patches, desert trees, and a view of the volcanoes.

On foot it is 1.5 to 2 km from the center: about 20 to 25 minutes.

Casa Atitur is about 200 meters from the two cabins, at Laguna Chaxa 160.

Parking at the lodging is free. You can arrive by car or taxi.
